Ni-Howdy was born out of a simple goal: to fix what’s broken in the Asian food aisle — and do it with real ingredients we’d proudly serve our own family.As a mixed Asian-American household, our table naturally blended bold Asian flavors with American comfort foods. Over time, that blending revealed a frustrating truth: so many of the “Asian” products we grew up loving were packed with seed oils, preservatives, added sugars, and ingredients we couldn’t even pronounce. And as we became parents, that concern only grew.We knew we could do better. So we started recreating our favorite staples from scratch — with clean, simple ingredients and bold, uncompromising flavor. The kind of food that brings people together without compromising their health.Our first product, a Sichuan Chili Crisp — which we like to call “the ketchup of China” — was built to be used every day, on everything. No seed oils. No preservatives. No fake flavoring. Just real ingredients, real flavor, and a little bit of magic. Pretty soon, friends, family, and even strangers were hooked.That’s when we knew it was time to launch Ni-Howdy — a brand built on bringing clean, real Asian flavors to a new generation. Who's the Cat?

His name is Meowdy and basically you can think of him like the ancestral guardian of Asian-American food. Once we made our chili crunch he just showed up one day and never left. He likes belly rubs and hates trisodium phosphate.
